The short version: Morning Echo does not collect, sell, or share your personal data. Your voice recordings never leave your device. We have no servers, no analytics, and no advertising.
1. Information We Collect
Morning Echo collects no personal information. The app operates entirely on your device. Specifically:
- Voice recordings — stored locally on your device in the app's private Documents folder. Never uploaded, never transmitted.
- App preferences — alarm times, theme settings, sound choices, and other preferences are stored in iOS UserDefaults on your device only.
- Subscription status — managed entirely by Apple via StoreKit 2. Carlos Quinones / Dev-Insite does not store or process your payment information.
2. How We Use Your Information
We don't use your information for anything because we don't have it. All data the app generates stays on your device and is used only to operate Morning Echo's features (alarms, recordings, themes).
3. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, share, or transmit your data to any third party. The only external party involved is Apple:
- Apple / App Store — handles app distribution and subscription billing via StoreKit 2. Apple's own privacy policy governs that interaction.
- AlarmKit — an Apple system framework used to schedule and fire alarms. All alarm data stays on-device within Apple's framework.
No analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, crash reporting services, or other third-party libraries are included in Morning Echo.
4. Microphone Access
Morning Echo requests microphone access solely to record your personal wake-up messages. The app will ask for permission before your first recording. You can revoke microphone access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone. Revoking access disables the recording feature; existing recordings are unaffected.
5. Alarm Access
Morning Echo uses Apple's AlarmKit framework to schedule and fire alarms. AlarmKit is a system-level alarm service — it does not use iOS notification permissions, and Morning Echo does not appear under iOS Settings → Notifications. Alarm authorization is requested the first time you set an alarm and can be managed in iOS Settings → Morning Echo.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
All app data is stored on your device. To delete all Morning Echo data, delete the app from your device. This permanently removes all recordings, settings, and cached files. Subscription billing history is retained by Apple and subject to Apple's policies.
7. Children's Privacy
Morning Echo is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect any information from users of any age. No personal data is transmitted or stored by us.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we update this Privacy Policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Morning Echo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
